today, he wanted to sound like george marshal. he sounded a hell of a lot more like george w. bush in terms of his world view. good versus evil and other things. two specific things that highlight that. one, he called for a middle east nation building czar. that's what he wants you as taxpayers to spend your money on, to do nation building. second, he built more naval ships, ships that the defense department and generals don't even want. so i think a lot of americans have got to ask, yeah, we've got a lead in the world but what in the heck are we doing, proposing that won't make america stronger and safer in the long run and those are the only two specifics that i can see that were really different from what president obama is actually doing. >> now, brian, you've used the word disarray about his foreign policy. what do you mean by that? >> well, he doesn't actually have clear positions on most issues. i think it's reflective of the american party today. you know, you've got a party that essentially says, government spending doesn't create jobs except when it's defense spending but th
